BIOGRAPHY

Andy (The Performance Chef) has a passion for not only food, but also optimizing health and pushing the boundaries of human potential. A chef by trade, he has attained a bachelor’s degree in culinary nutrition, master’s degree in nutrition & exercise science, and is a doctoral candidate in health & human performance. With concern for the direction of health and chronic disease, Andy uses his knowledge of culinary arts, molecular food science, and disease prevention to engineer food products. The results are functional foods that do not only have incredible health benefits, but also taste great.

ANDY’S FAVORITE PRODUCT

Myotrend™ BURN is one of my favorite products because it keeps me alert and focused. I am able to take one or two scoops throughout the day and stay at peak cognitive and physical performance. It is also great when I am trying to cut body fat because it is designed to increase my body’s sensitivity to the foods I eat, which allows me to stay lean year-round.

ADVICE

  • Stay consistent with your diet & training because consistency will allow you to
reach your goals faster.
  • Surround yourself with people who can internalize your vision and help you reach your goals. The lack of support from people who don’t support your vision will hold you back from what you are trying to achieve.
  • Food is the basis by which all disease is developed and spread. You owe it to yourself to make the right dietary choices, plan, and ensure you are eating to not only support your physique but your long-term health.

PHILOSOPHY

My food philosophy is very simple, you should make it your point to have a positive relationship with food. I find it concerning that many people have such a negative relationship with the word “diet.” A diet is simply the way you eat. Everyone has a diet and that diet can be good or bad. However, having a poor relationship with the word “diet” predisposes you to failure because you are already thinking negatively. Therefore, think of your diet as something that supports your goals, don’t assume it is something that is negative because you will ultimately fail at whatever you are trying to achieve. Stay positive and internalize the positivity.
