 |
| LeuceMine™ is rated the #1 dietary
sports supplement for recovery by the physicians
of PPP. It’s been said again and again
that you can’t be serious about results
and exclude LeuceMine™ from your supplementation
arsenal. |
 |
| Below
you will find a series of “Questions”
and “Answers” designed to help
you better understand the role of LeuceMine™
in your program. |
 |
Q:
What is LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: LeuceMine™ is a formula that produces
a complex yet powerful metabolic effect.
Countless strength coaches and elite athletes
regard it as the premier pre/post workout
supplement on the market. Strength training
coaches whose clients are professional and
world class athletes are paid a lot of money
to maximize their client’s performance
capabilities and can give them any supplement
they want. They choose LeuceMine™
the #1 choice of elite athletes and coaches
alike. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
What is in LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: The LeuceMine™
formula is comprised of the amino acid L-Glutamine
and the 3 Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA)
L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. Ongoing
research is directed at further refining
the amino acid ratios so as to maximize
both its potent anti-catabolic and anabolic
effects. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Who should use LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: Anyone that is serious about results.
Baseball, basketball, football, hockey,
soccer, and tennis players as well as bodybuilders,
power lifters, and track and field athletes
alike all share the common need to blunt
the catabolic effects of cortisol, which
is induced as a result of resistance training
and athletic participation. Everyone should
use LeuceMine™. No exceptions! |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
When should LeuceMine™ be used? |
 |
A: There are several strategies for its
use. It’s most popular is when it’s
stacked with Nitro-E8™ prior to and
during training in which case Nitro-E8™
is consumed immediately after training.
When used as a stand alone its best to either; |
 |
 |
1. |
 |
Use
the entire dosage during training, or |
 |
| |
2. |
|
Increase
your typical dosage and split it up
between “During” and “Post”
workout. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Should LeuceMine™ be cycled? |
 |
A: No, because cortisol levels rise at the
onset of every training experience and the
need to blunt its destructive/catabolic
effects are ongoing. Many of today’s
dietary supplements like thermogenic formulas
must be cycled otherwise, over time, they
become less and less effective. The body
builds a resistance to its ingredients and
it requires more and more to produce the
same or a lesser effect. By contrast, LeuceMine™
doesn’t have its effects reduced as
a result of extended ongoing use. Ongoing
use is not only encouraged but necessary. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Is LeuceMine™ 100% safe and natural? |
 |
A: Absolutely. One of the ingredients in
the formula is the amino acid L-Glutamine.
L-Glutamine is the most abundantly found
amino acid in our bodies with 60% residing
within skeletal muscle. The remainder of
the formula’s principle ingredients
is BCAA’s, considered essential amino
acids. This means our body must consume
these daily from external sources. These
ingredients are not only NATURAL and SAFE
but also ESSENTIAL to athletes. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Can LeuceMine™ be used everyday? |
 |
A: This is a very good question. The answer
is at least 5 times a week. Because LeuceMine™
tastes so good athletes tend to use it as
a snack. Take the maximum dosage at the
right time according to the label. Taking
the most when it matters is better than
some all the time. Again, refer to the formula
on the bottle and stay on the high end of
the recommended dosage. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Are there any side effects from using LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: No way. It is extremely safe and natural.
You can give LeuceMine™ to your kids
and rest assured that it is completely and
totally safe. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
What is the recommended dosage for the use
of LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: We want everyone to gain the maximum
benefit possible from its use. So we asked
Dr. Joseph Rossi to provide a range that
users could refer to in order to determine
dosage. According to Dr. Joseph Rossi those
individuals wishing to maximize its protein
and glutamine sparing effects should take
their bodyweight and deduct their body fat
poundage to arrive at what is referred to
as LBM or lean body mass. This is done by; |
 |
 |
Strategy
#1 |
 |
| |
1. |
|
Taking
the total body weight (let’s say
200 pounds) and deducting the body fat
percentage (let’s say 10%). In
this case one would deduct 20 pounds
(representing 10% of the total body
weight) from 200 pounds (total body
weight) and arrive at 180 pound (representing
LBM). |
 |
| |
2. |
|
Next,
the 180 pounds would be multiplied by
.20 (the highest multiple to be used)
and arrive at 36 or 36 grams. According
to Dr. Rossi one strategy is to take
that number and split it into two equal
doses, which in this case would be 18
grams. In this case, the dosage represents
the optimal grams of LeuceMine™
to be consumed 20 minutes prior to and
immediately after training. |
 |
| |
Strategy
#2 |
 |
| |
Over
the years the most popular applied usage
and the one endorsed by both Rossi and
the physicians of PPP is as follows; |
 |
| |
1. |
|
Repeat
the same calculation method presented
above. |
 |
| |
2. |
|
Instead
of splitting up the dosage take it all
during the workout. |
|
 |
| The
second strategy is most popular and the one
used in conjunction with Nitro-E8™.
Both products should always be used together. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
What are some options for mixing LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: LeuceMine™ is best mixed with water.
It’s not advised that it be mixed
in a cup with a spoon because some of the
amino acids are not water-soluble. When
mixed in a glass, the glutamine will rise
to the top and eventually mix. However,
when mixed in a shaker it mixes to perfection.
In order to get LeuceMine™ to taste
perfect I suggest you experiment with how
much water and how much LeuceMine™
to be used when mixing. It is further recommended
that you avoid mixing LeuceMine™ with
fruit juices, however, there have been reports
that it mixes wonderfully with either Gatorade
or Crystal Light. 800.306.1913 |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
Is LeuceMine™ Sugar Free? |
 |
A: Absolutely! This is the second-generation
version of LeuceMine™ and it’s
absolutely positively sugar free. If MyoTrend
as a company had elected to water the product
down by adding sugar you find LeuceMine™
priced for considerably less. However, the
goal was the creation of a super ultra effective
“Elite” formulation for recovery
and dilution of any kind in order to improve
margins was never a remote consideration. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
What are the primary benefits of BCAA and
Glutamine - the ingredients comprising LeuceMine™? |
 |
A: BCAA provide a precursor of glutamine
and are directly up-taken by skeletal muscle.
The presence of BCAA in LeuceMine™
provides a threefold effect: |
 |
 |
1. |
 |
The
capability of independently stimulating
protein synthesis in humans. |
 |
| |
2. |
|
The
ability to be converted directly to
glutamine within skeletal muscle. |
 |
| |
3. |
|
The
ability to function as a precursor to
glucose formation after glycogen stores
has been depleted |
|
 |
During intense training, the signal for
muscle breakdown may be the release of skeletal
muscle glutamine. Providing supplemental
L-glutamine has been shown in documented
clinical studies to attenuate (reduce the
degree of effect) this signal. Therefore,
the regular use of L-glutamine can have
a profound impact on maintaining a positive
nitrogen balance, which is essential to
muscular development and recovery. |
 |
According to Dr. Rossi supplementation with
both glutamine and branched-chain amino
acids during periods of intense training
and muscle stress may preserve better nitrogen
balance and hasten recovery during and after
weight training. |
 |
The amino acid L-Glutamine present in the
blood (Glutamine Serum) will attenuate or
delay the premature onset of a catabolic
environment and provide a protein/muscle
sparing effect during training. L-Glutamine
will help prevent your muscles from dumping
into circulation its stored L-Glutamine
which would trigger further muscle wasting
during a most critical time. By taking LeuceMine™
during the workout you keep your body from
experiencing muscle breakdown prematurely. |
 |
 |
 |
Q:
How does LeuceMine™ work? |
 |
A: The active phase of training is highly
catabolic. During this time, glycogen stores
are quickly depleted and the liver must
synthesized glucose. It performs this function
by converting the amino acid L-Alanine to
glucose. This amino acid along with L-Glutamine
account for more than 50% of the total amino
acid released from muscle tissue. |
 |
In skeletal muscle, 60% of the free amino
acid pool is glutamine. L-Glutamine release
is from free glutamine stores within the
muscle and from deamination (removal of
ammonia molecule) of branched-chain amino
acids. This release of skeletal muscle L-Glutamine
may be the signal that inhibits protein
synthesis in skeletal muscle models during
stress. |
 |
Providing L-Glutamine and Branched-Chain
Amino Acids (BCAA’s) may affect the
signal responsible for decreasing protein
synthesis. In weight training, the major
organ system involved is the skeletal muscles.
Repair and re-growth during recovery require
amino acids in proportions present in the
tissue affected most by the catabolic process.
L-Glutamine and Branched-Chain Amino Acids
(BCAA’s) in the ratios and dosages
such as found in the LeuceMine™ formula
are the logical choice. |
 |
| Simply
stated it delays the signal responsible for
catabolism and muscle breakdown. |
 |
Now, let me put that in layman’s terms.
Training is a highly catabolic activity.
By just doing the warm up set your body
becomes IMMEDIATELY under stress. Under
stress your brain (the pituitary gland)
sends a signal instructing your body to
leech the amino acid L-Glutamine from wherever
it can. The first place it will go to is
the blood stream and if Glutamine serum
levels are below a certain threshold it
will next source it from skeletal muscle
and then you’re in trouble. You’re
in trouble because your muscle will now
be volatile and subject to tremendous stress.
You will experience muscle wasting throughout
the workout and you MUST prevent this. |
 |
LeuceMine™ allows you to train in
an environment under which muscles are protected
and further enhances your performance capabilities
through the role of the Branched Chain Amino
Acids (BCAA’s) which serve as an alternate
fuel source to stressed muscles. BCAA’s
will allow you to recover faster and during
the workout you will train harder and for
longer periods of time with more intensity. |

Are Additional Questions from Our Readers |
 |
LeuceMine™ being taken with
Protein and Honey |
 |
What is the best
way to take LeuceMine™ post workout?
Is it OK to take it with whey protein and
honey as my post work out drink? I have
read that there was a study conducted that
suggests honey might be the best post workout
source for carbohydrates when added to whey
protein. The study was conducted by Dr.
Richard Kreider, lead investigator of the
study and Director of the Exercise and Sport
Nutrition Laboratory at the University of
Memphis. This study was presented at the
annual National Strength and Conditioning
Association meeting. Over on another board
the creator of a post work out drink which
may be an attempt at replicating LeuceMine™
+ whey protein + dextrose + malt dextrin
bashed honey as a good post work out carbohydrate. |
 |
Yes, honey is a great source of carbohydrates
after workouts, but be aware of honey brands
and buy good ones. Also, make sure that
consumption isn’t within the first
20 minutes post workout as it will hurt
your anabolic window. Anyhow, it is a great
idea but remember your specific goals and
also the amount of honey. You should use
about 35 to a maximum of 50 grams combined
with 2 scoops of LeuceMine™ and 2
scoops of whey protein. You will have an
exceptional post workout drink or meal.
Another post workout meal could be sugar
free yogurt mixed with whey protein and
LeuceMine™ mixed together - excellent
and fulfilling. I think Richard is correct
up to a point; it depends on your goals,
health, events and stress level. |

| LeuceMine™
and Lack of Soreness |
 |
It's impossible
for me to get sore while taking LeuceMine™.
I know Strength Coaches recommend that everyone
take at least 40 grams but I'm a starving
student so I usually use between 20 and
30 grams. Regardless, I don't get sore.
Why? Times when I have run out or been without
it the soreness returns. I mean if I forget
to use it even one workout the next day
I'm hurting. I'm an information kind of
guy and would love to hear about how/why
this works. |
 |
Every person that has been turned onto LeuceMine™
has had the exact same experience. I remember
John Meadows telling me that it took 10
or so days to kick in but when it did, well,
like you said...no soreness was the immediate
response. I remember John telling me that
because he couldn’t get sore it just
made him train even harder. In fact, John
would do workouts that were so freaking
painful just to see if he could get sore. |
 |

 |
Heating H2O/Water for LeuceMine™ |
 |
I have a question
that may sound dumb so, please excuse me.
I use LeuceMine™ faithfully 30 minutes
prior to training. I usually mix it w/ filtered
H20 from the fridge. I had an idea of warming
the water to a temp of just luke warm in
order to see if it dissolved better; sure
enough it did. My question is this, does
warming the water affect it in any way and
can I mix it w/ ribose and creatine at the
same time? LeuceMine™ is an awesome
product and I highly recommend it to any
female or anyone for that matter that wants
to get a more intense workouts, as well
as, reduce their recovery time and post-workout
soreness! |
 |
Great question! If you heat the water first
without putting LeuceMine™ in the
water you’ll be ok. So make sure you
heat the water first. The higher temperature
increases the rate of absorption secondary
to the similarity to body temperature. Yes,
you can mix both Ribose and Creatine with
LeuceMine™. I’m not the biggest
fan of Ribose but Creatine Monohydrate is
a definite in the absence of CreaGen™. |
 |
 |
 |
| How
and When to Mix LeuceMine™ |
 |
I got turned on to LeuceMine™
by our strength coach who told me this would
help me recover faster from practice. I
take about 40+ grams per workout and the
stuff flat-out works. Thanks coach. But
my problem is I get water logged. To mix
that much LeuceMine™ I use a 1.5-liter
water bottle. It has to be this much to
taste great. During practice it isn’t
a problem but during a regular workout it
is tough to get it all in. I need to know
how soon before my workout can I start drinking
LeuceMine™ so that I don't get that
water logged feeling. Also, I'd like to
know how much LeuceMine™ John Meadows
and Paul Burton take and how they take it. |
 |
LeuceMine™ tastes awesome but it’s
like any concentrated powder if you mix
too much powder with too little water. What
I started doing is breaking it up into 2
1-liter doses. Each liter contains 25 g
of either orange or grape. I don't know
who it was but somebody turned me on to
“gronge”, which, of course,
is a mixture of grape, and orange. I start
sipping my first bottle 30 minutes before
I get to the gym and am right when I get
there. I'm trained to the point that when
I see the gym I have to pee. Once I do I
go right to my next bottle, which I'll sip
throughout the workout. Remember guys, if
your taking Nitro-E8™ post work out
don't take LeuceMine™ after you train. |
 |
As far as your dosage
question I know that John takes about 60
to 70 grams while I take a consistent 50
grams. I have a son “Alex” who
as of December 2004 turned 14 and he benches
300 for reps, squats slightly over 300 and
leg presses over 1,000 pounds. From last
football season to this football season
(2005) Alex has added 4 inches in height
and 65 pounds in weight. He dominates the
line of scrimmage at 252 pounds. What was
the intervening factor? |

LeuceMine™ and Increased Strength |
 |
I just wanted to say something about
the product LeuceMine™. I first heard
of it from a fellow power lifter who raved
about his recuperation from training after
using LeuceMine™. I have been using
the product for about six weeks and have
also noted that I am able to work out heavier
and longer while using LeuceMine™.
I have noted, in the past, that when I did
a personal best lift in a meet such as a
squat that my other lifts seemed to be mediocre
because I was exhausted from the heavy maximum
lift. Last Saturday I participated in a
meet and did a personal best squat and bench.
My dead lift was also very good with nine
out of nine attempts successful. I attribute
this to hard training and LeuceMine™.
I noticed at the end of the day that I had
plenty of energy and strength left over
which is very unusual. Most supplements
are just a drain on a lifters wallet but,
like Creatine, this product really works.
I don't have any affiliation with the company
or anything either, that's just my personal
experience. |

Your comments are sincerely appreciated.
I can't tell you how rewarding it is to
hear feedback telling us that we did a good
a job and that our products work. Thank
you! |

LeuceMine™ and Fat Loss |
 |
I recently read an article that
discussed a single study showing BCAA's
were effective in burning fat, specifically
stubborn fat in the abdominal. Please explain
how BCAA’s actually do this or should
there be more research on this? Just wondering
if LeuceMine™ would be effective in
your cutting cycles. |
 |
This hypothesis is not proven yet but the
body thinks it’s breaking down too
much tissue so it responds by releasing
fat. Also, BCAA’s increase insulin
levels so one ends up getting bigger and
leaner. Yes, BCCA can cause fat loss but
not like you’re thinking. |
 |
BCAA's are essential amino acids that provide
the body with fuel like sugar. The amino
acid L-Leucine elevates insulin levels but
because the body hasn't actually consumed
sugar the only substance available to go
into muscle are amino acids, which build
muscle and concurrently increase your metabolic
rate, in other words burns fat. |
 |
BCAA’s are very effective particularly
while engaged in extreme dieting allowing
you to hold on to lean mass. LeuceMine™
should be considered an essential component
in one’s cutting cycle. |
 |
 |
 |
LeuceMine™ and Creatine |
 |
I just started
using LeuceMine™ for the first time
and I love it. Never before have I used
a supplement that has worked this good.
I have 3 questions that perhaps you can
help me with: |
 |
 |
1. |
 |
Can
Creatine be mixed with LeuceMine™
and taken at the same time? |
 |
| |
2. |
|
Can
LeuceMine™ be mixed with water
in the morning and used later - in the
early evening without it losing any
potency? |
 |
| |
3. |
|
The
GNC where I bought my LeuceMine™
was telling me that they’re also
bringing in a product called Nitro-E8™.
Is Nitro-E8™ something I can take
with LeuceMine™? |
|
 |
I’ll try to answer your questions
one by one and also give you some helpful
hints: |
 |
 |
1. |
 |
Yes
you can use creatine and LeuceMine™
together without any problems, and I
actually recommend it. But I do need
to caution you about the fact that together
you experience a relatively quick increase
in weight which may or may not be desirable. |
 |
| |
2. |
|
Yes,
once mixed, LeuceMine™ must be
consumed within 24 hours. After that
glutamine changes slowly secondary to
a benign chemical reaction with water.
Frankly, I would prefer that you put
the powder in the empty bottle and mix
with water later at the gym rather than
have the product mixed all day. |
 |
| |
3. |
|
Combining
Nitro-E8™ with LeuceMine™
will give you great results. The key
is timing: When you use LeuceMine™
before workouts you provide a form of
energy for muscle without sugars and
without elevating your insulin levels.
The body is provided with the most important
amino acids for the prevention of catabolism
and the building blocks for muscle in
this case nitrogen in the form of Glutamine.
After the workout blood amino acids
levels are low and your body desperately
needs a quick and highly anabolic source
of amino acids. This is the time the
body needs all the amino acids necessary
for building muscle and that is exactly
when Nitro-E8™ should be ingested.
Why? Because of Nitro-E8™ ability
to quickly deliver nitrogen to muscle
cells and into your blood stream. |
